Looking back...2008

It's always exciting, on New Years Eve, to look forward to a new year. A new year...filled with promise and hope. As we leave 2008, may we remember the blessings given and grow from the struggles. I want to slow down and take a breath to enjoy the wonderful things God has given me.

In our home during 2008...

  • We were blessed with our little girl, this year.

  • We were able to travel and spend time with our friends.

  • We experienced stress with changes and uncertainty in Allen's company.

  • We have grown closer to our church family.

  • We endured a football season without a bowl game. It will get better!

  • I shopped a lot with my Mom.

  • Benjamin got to meet Lightening McQueen, at Disney. Priceless!

  • Georgia-Kate went to her first Razorback game.

  • I experienced the loss of a classmate: a talented and wonderful friend.

  • Benjamin turned 3 years old.

  • I spent many "Thursday Lunches" with Annie, as we solved the world's problems.

  • I talked to my sister on the phone, nearly everyday.
  • God protected Allen from injury when he wrecked his truck.

  • We were blessed with good health within our family.

  • Allen and I celebrated 7 years of marriage.(....or what Allen thinks is like 70 years!)

  • We turned our library/office into a playroom...big adjustment for Allen and I.

  • Allen played fantasy baseball and football.

  • Benjamin actually talked to Santa.

  • We enjoyed a fun and wonderful holiday season, with our friends and family.
