You are not gonna believe it...

I got my phone back! No kidding. I could not believe it when the police investigator called to let us know. He did a great job and recovered my phone. After he reviewed the surveillance camera footage, he was able to identify the guy. They were familiar with this guy's history. He is a thief. It's that simple. Sad. But true. He admitted that he took it and turned it in. I was a little weirded out about getting it back. It seemed so offensive that he removed my music and downloaded his own music on my phone, checked his e-mail and searched the Internet. {I guess he doesn't like Chris Tomlin, Leeland, and David Crowder Band. Haha} I was really frustrated that he destroyed my Sim card, so I lost my photos and contact list. I did feel much better after my sister reminded me that if he destroyed the card, he didn't have any photos of Benjamin or Georgia-Kate. Good Point. Thankful for that. So, I took my phone to AT&T and bought a new cover and Sim card. The sweet sales lady cleaned it for me.
I'm still thanking the Lord that we were safe and protected from physical harm. I am so happy that I can put all of this behind me. Thank you for all the sweet comments and e-mails of encouragement. I adore you girls!
And Don't forget--Lock your car doors.

Bless your precious heart! I am so sorry about the phone, but so thankful that you got it back! What an awful experience. I agree with your sister that it was a blessing he didn't have your picture card. And, he didn't like your choice of music??? Bless HIS heart!
Hugs!

My kids once left my sliding door on our van open in our driveway and someone stole our DVD player overnight. I felt so violated and angry! I had a lump in my throat reading your post about this. Praise GOD that you got it back and that it was just a material thing and not the kiddos!
