As Easter Sunday is nearly here....I have been convicted to slow down and remember Jesus, our Savior. I love the Easter season~I get overly excited about Easter Sunday Outfits, the Egg Hunts and filling the baskets. And while I know that Holy Week represents the last week that our Savior spent on earth~and walked to the cross to die for my sins and for yours~I forget to slow down and remember. May I stop...simply stop and spend time in the Bible and in prayer...just thanking Jesus. Because God sent his only Son to die for my sins...I can spend an eternity in Heaven.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

absolutely! incredible post. just like christmas, its hard to not let the worldly celebration overtake the true meaning of the holiday. happy easter!
So true! Thank you for taking the time to write about what is the most important thing of all...our Saviour and what He did for each of us. May we truly understand what Easter is all about:)
what a great reminder...I love Easter and everything it represents but it is easy to get caught up in the "fun" part of Easter, thank you for helping us all to remember what Easter is really all about.
Amen! We are working on how to teach our kids this...not to get overwhelmed with the Easter Bunny and forget the real meaning. It's hard to do, isn't it? But so worth it!!
Carrie
I needed that! Thanks!!
