A Thanksgiving Turkey...

I was totally inspired by Christie over at Pop Rocks for Breakfast. Christie did this great little turkey for her daughter and some friends. So, Benjamin and I made a similar turkey for Miss Teresa, his sweet teacher. They had a Thanksgiving party at school, today. He was so proud to take the turkey to the party. Thanks Christie! {If you don't already read her blog...go check it out.}

We used:
Scrapbook paper
Small piece of Ribbon
2 black scrapbook gems {for eyes}
5 toothpicks
Floral Foam
Hershey Kisses

I cut some "feathers" out of the paper...floral and dark brown. I layered the floral papers onto the brown cardstock paper. The cardstock made the feathers stand up.

Benjamin placed the toothpicks between the papers glued them together. We were able to easily place our feathers in the foam. After creating a turkey face and adding a bow, we placed him in the foam. We covered the foam with Hershey's Kisses. By the way, these new Meltaway Kisses are yummy!

Here is our finished "candy basket turkey" posing with my sweet little turkey!
