Hello Feburary....

I can hardly believe how quickly January flew by! Does it seem possible to have finished the first month of 2010? We had a very busy month, filled with two snow storms. However, I can't complain. Allen and I just returned from a trip to Mexico. I have so many pics and so much to say...

Prepare yourself for photo overload...coming soon.
Georgia-Kate is having a birthday, this month. I love February. It's a quick month...and I feel like Spring is almost here. And...I love those heart candies.

A Very Yummy Muffin.

We went over to visit my mom, today. She made these wonderful muffins...so I had to share the recipe with you. They are so good and healthy. These are a must try! I cannot wait to make these at home.
Six Week Bran Muffin
{low fat and low sugar}

Use a large bowl to mix. The batter last 6 weeks in the refrigerator--so you can make fresh muffins, each day. It makes 48 muffins, but you can bake as many as you want and then store the batter.

1 (15 ounce) box of Raisin Bran Cereal

5 cups of flour

3 cups of Splenda granular

1/2 cup of brown sugar

2 tablespoons baking soda

2 teaspoons salt

4 teaspoons cinnamon

1 quart buttermilk

1 1/2 cups applesauce {natural with no added sugar}

4 eggs, beaten

4 teaspoons vanilla

Mix all dry ingredients.

Mix all wet ingredients.

Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients together.

Bake at 350 degrees for 18-23 minutes. You may want to insert a toothpick to check and see if they are done.

Shred

Jillian is tough. But, who wouldn't want to look like her?! So, this is my newest fitness adventure. I am using for cross-training to compliment my running plan. It is hard...I won't kid you! It is fun and it only takes 20 minutes. If you are Shredding or want to go over the Rhonda's blog, Down Memory Lane and join in the fun.

I cannot stop.

Playing Christmas Music.
Not all Christmas music.
Just this Christmas music:

My Sweet friend, Kylee and I went to Chris Tomlin's Christmas concert {with Louie Giglio and special guests Christy Nockels and Audrey Assad}
We loved it. It was a beautiful concert. I just cannot stop listening to it...and it's January. Is that crazy?! If you love Christmas music and/or Chris Tomlin...go and get this!

Isn't Kylee adorable?! She is the sweetest girl.
My favorite song is: Emmanuel-Hallowed Manger Ground
I cannot comprehend how much God loved us, his people. He loved us enough to send His one and only Son to dwell on earth. After 400 years of silence from heaven, God spoke through the cry of a baby in a manger. The King of Kings.
Wow! Seriously, I cannot remember when a song ministered to me as this one does.

reorganized.

I love to reorganize. So after a trip to Target and TJMaxx, I added some more storage cubes from the ITSO line and a few more baskets. I like the versatility of this storage system. We have moved it around a few different ways. The storage drawers are great and hold a lot of toys. It is a little tricky to put together; but it is worth it.

I also picked up these Large baskets.{Circo} They are really cute. I love the polka-dots inside the pink baskets. The blue baskets are striped inside. They hold so many items. I placed a Fisher Price Little People Castle in one of the pink baskets and there is even more room left.
I found these "Art" and "Craft" buckets style baskets at TJMaxx. I filled them with stickers, paper, crayons, ect.
And my favorite find:
I found this laundry basket on the $ aisle at Target. It was only $2.50. I know...isn't it great?! {Even Benjamin likes it! haha} This basket has so many possibles. I did actually use it for a load of laundry, today. But, I may find another function for it. What would you use it for?

Winter Snow.

Brrr. It's cold in Arkansas. Much colder than we are used to. Our local school district hasn't been in class, all week. Benjamin's school was in session, yesterday. After a really low temps, overnight, they were closed today. So, we are spending much time at home. Building train tracks. Playing cars. Stacking Legos. Reading books. Dressing Georgia-Kate's babies. Snuggling under the covers watching Disney. Playing in the snow.After a very busy holiday season, it has been kinda nice to spend extra time at home. {But, I will welcome Spring with a HUGE Smile.}

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. A new year. A new decade.
In addition to the predictable resolutions: Cook more often. Drink more water. Loose some weight. Spend more time playing with my children. Pray more and worry less. Memorize more scripture.

I have set two big goals for myself:
Run a 10K
Read the Bible all the way through.

{I'll keep you posted.}
