Back to Reality

We're home from Disney World and have returned to reality. Allen is mowing the yard and I have started the laundry. Benjamin threw a fit during lunch and went straight to his room for a nap. Georgia-Kate is also sleeping, but not because she threw a fit--just because she is a baby. haha

We had a great time. Disney World is a fun place. However, there is no place as comfortable as home. We like Mickey Mouse and friends--but we love our frends and family, at home.

Benjamin already ask to go back. I think we will wait a few years........defiantly a few years.

Our Day at Disney Hollywood Studios

Lightening and Mater

Breakfast with June

Dancing with Leo
Jojo with Benjamin

Playhouse Disney Live!

We went to breakfast at "Play and Dine" in Hollywood Studios. Benjamin was overwhelmed with excitement. The characters came by the table to see him and pose for a picture. The host sang songs and invited the kids so join them. Benjamin was so excited he could barely eat. Georgia-Kate slept through breakfast. She has been so good. We saw Jojo and Goliath, and June and Leo from the Little Einsteins. Tracy has a long time fear of clown...and Benjamin was quick to comfort her. "Aunt T, don't be scared." Perhaps, Allen coached him to say that for months before the trip. Benjamin remembered and didn't let him down.

After breakfast, we went over to see Playhouse Disney's Live show. That's a great interactive show with characters from Mickey Mouse Club House, The Little Einsteins, and Winnie the Pooh, and Handy Manny. Benjamin sat pretty still--so he must have like it. We were able to catch a few rides before the afternoon rain came. It rains a lot here in June. We stood under an umbrella a long time and waited out the storm. Yes, thunder and all. They cancelled the Block Party Parade. But, we were very thankful that the rain stopped so we could see Lightening McQueen and Mater. We were thankful not to take home a broken hearted little Benjamin. He was almost speechless when Lightening drove out. Allen was a good sport and waited in the line during the rain. Tracy and I entertained Benjamin while the "cast members" decided if the Cars were going to make an appearance.

We caught the boat back to the resort. For dinner, we returned to Hollywood Studios with Wachovia for a private dinner and viewing on the Indiana Jones Live stunt show. It was a little stressful. Georgia-Kate was and upset, we couldn't find any chairs, and a light caught fire during dinner. We finally found enough seats together just before the light caught on fire. And the rain returned. Wow~what an eventful night.

Tomorrow we are going to rest at the resort......

Our Day at Animal Kingdom

Early Morning @ Animal Kingdom

Live Nemo Show at Animal Kingdom

Mickey and MinnieHere comes the rain @ Epcot
The Nemo ride at Epcot

This morning, we left the resort @ 7am to attend a private breakfast at Animal Kingdom. The park opens at 9am, so we able to play in Dino Land with only Wachovia guests until the park opened. We had a great time playing in the carnival area, riding the "dino" rides and playing in the playground. Mickey, Minney, Donald and Daisy came by for a visit. After the park opened, we rode the train and went on a "Safari". The safari was great....we saw rhinos, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and many other animals who explore in "Africa". Benjamin and Georgia-Kate fell asleep on the jeep.

After the safari, we had some lunch. We ordered burgers--I think they might have been ostrich. Yuck! After lunch, we went to the Nemo Live Musical. It was a great show. We enjoyed it.

After Nemo, we returned to the resort for naps. I went to the pool. It's lots of fun. The lifeguards play music and entertain the guests. The water slide and river are much fun.

After dinner, we went to Epcot. Wachovia hosted a dessert party and reserved a pavilion for the fireworks. It was raining. Tracy and I stayed inside with Georgia-Kate. Allen and Benjamin were able to watched the fireworks. The rain finally stopped and we stayed for a "Extra Magical" hours. Allen rode the Test Track ride sponsored by GMC. Tracy and I took the kiddos to ride the Nemo aquarium ride. It was a great ride.

Another fun day at Disney.

Magic Kingdom

Georgia-Kate waiting in line.
Benjamin and Allen on the Teapcups.
Pluto leading the Family Day Parade.
Marci, Tracy and Benjamin on Main Street.
Tracy and Benjamin on the Dumbo ride.

We went to Magic Kingdom, today. Despite the Florida heat and the crowds,
we had a good time. Benjamin wanted to ride the teacups as soon as we arrived. Allen was a good sport and rode with him. He had a little trouble understanding why he couldn't ride as long as he wanted to. But by the end of the evening, he learned to wait his turn and give others a turn. We ended the day with a ride on the train...Benjamin was quite certain Thomas was pulling the coaches.

Georgia-Kate liked the Dumbo ride. We let her get wet with Benjamin at Donald Duck's boat. She enjoyed getting her toes wet.

What a fun Day!

Our first night at Disney.

Benjamin and Aunt T.
Gettin' Down on the Dance Floor
The Hula Hoop Contest

Mickey and Minnie
Woody with Benjamin and Aunt T.
The Monsters
Benjamin wasn't too fond of Snow White
Georgia-Kate and Goofy & Pluto

We had a GREAT time at the Wachovia Welcome Party. We met Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and Pluto, Mike and Sully from Monsters, inc., Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, Cinderella, and Snow White. Benjamin was star struck. He was most excited about meeting Mike and Sully--but was real concerned about why Lightning McQueen didn't show up. He didn't really care for Snow White much after she tried to give him a kiss. However, he forgot all about Lightning and Snow White when he and Aunt T. discovered the dance floor. He even entered the hula hoop contest. We were also able to visit with some other brokers--some new acquaintances and some old acquaintances. We had so much fun and stayed until the party was over.
